shape files with arcgis runtime SDK for WPF

HI,

i tested the esri example "Add shapefiles and rasters" from "ArcGIS Runtime SDK from WPF Sample", but not working.

when i download the same example from http://www.arcgis.com/home/item.html?id=953a530ada30477d95cc69e788268bc9 will appeare an advertings popup about esri license.

I'm confused!!!

can i load a shapefile with WPF SDK without esri license?and where is the correct example?

you have to have the standard license to use the local namespace. that includes adding shapefiles and raster to your map.
