Is it a good practice to add columns to a table/feature-class from Database which is in access(read-only) by ArcGIS Server Map Services.
ArcMap 10.7
ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6
SQL Server DB 2016
I dont believe you can modify a feature class schema when there is a service running that is using that feature class.
Yes, through ArcGIS it is not possible. But it could be done through database tool, like SSMS in SQL Server.
