The Collector app currently does not support searching through map layers right now. This is something we plan on supporting in a future release.Russ
Ditto here. Just confirmed the same in changing the find locations options in the AGOL map. Its great that the intention is there - Like yours, our field personnel are expecting a search by asset #.
The recent update of 10.2.4 Collector supports feature search that have been configured in the web map. You can configure the feature search under the map details.

Rats - I must be missing something on my service or AGOL setup then?. See image of AGOL config below....I've tried both WFS and WMS service options...On searching it either returns no results or the app closes when I hit search. I had installed 10.2.4 on Monday because we need the camera-app fix for Galaxy phones (which works now, awesome). Anything else that I should look to?

I have my search set up to look at a layer. I search for a location number of a pole in our system. It still doesn't like it. I started a group where I have shared the map that we are using in the field and have sent you an invite to join the group. The group is called "FEC Answers Group". Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I am able to reproduce the issue you are seeing with your services in the web map as well and it looks like an issue with the JSON that is being written out when the map is saved. Can you please keep the map and services around while the AGOL team looks into the issue. I will send you an update when the issue has been addressed.

This will be fixed in the upcoming update to AGOL. Re-saving the map should pick up the fix after the update to online.

AGOL is planning for the release to go out this week. We will be doing a Collector iOS and Android update within the next couple of weeks as well.

I am using a web map in AGOL for Collector. I have my web map configured to search in specific fields in three different layers in the map. In the web map on my desktop, I have to select a single layer to search on instead of being able to type anything in to search all of the layers at once. If I have to choose only one layer to search on, then why am I given the option to add more layers? I need data collectors to be able to search all of the layers in the Collector app. Russ, can you help?
