Can a x64 C++ Windows application access the ArcObjects COM interface?

I have been using the ArcObjects SDK in a 32 bit C++ Windows application for some years. I now want to rebuild that 32 bit Windows application as x64 and continue to use ArcObjects. Has anyone had experience with this and what are the main hurdles to getting there?
