It would be useful to be able to sort arcgis.com search results by extent. Often search results return many local data sets that are derived from some larger dataset - by sorting on extent a user could find the comprehensive datasets quickly. This will become more important as the number of datasets stopred in arcgis.com grows.
This can be done from within Map Viewer.
