I would like to see snapping redifined so that if I was to move a line the end point of the line would snap to a edge point of another line (or for that matter a vertex of a point feature) without zooming into a scale range of 1:5.

Usually when you try this little trick you cannot move the feature and snap to the other feature without zooming way in.

I hate to CAD as an example but.....

In CAD there is a nearest snap feature which would be neat to have.

Just a thought.

You can move the selection anchor to the end of a line and use that for snapping to the other line, as is shown in the polygon example: Moving a feature and snapping it to another feature
We'll consider the suggestion however.
