ArcGIS 10 > Remove the "Go" menu from ArcCatalog

In ArcCatalog 10 there is a new menu called Go. The menu contains one option called "Up One Level". what is the purpose of this menu? The "Up One Level" button has been included on the main ArcCatalog interface for many release. Why have an entire menu to hold this one option that is already available on the interface.

ArcGIS Desktop retired March 1, 2026 so we won’t be considering this idea. We recommend that you migrate to ArcGIS Pro, our fully supported desktop GIS application.
