How would one compare the properties of two layers simultaneously? When I select the properties of a layer either in catalog or once added to an MXD, I cannot open the properties of a second layer for cross referencing. Suggestions?
I don't know what specific properties you wish to compare.
However, the Describe function in arcpy may provide the information you need.
A much more basic solution is to open 2 maps, and review the properties that way.
