Hyperlinks

I created a hyperlink filed for some field data and created the hyperlink from the field calculator linked to a folder on our server. When I clicked the feature with the hyperlink lightening bolt it highlighted and turned yellow and when clicked had brought up the appropriate folder. I also turned on the hyperlinks in the display. I gave this mxd to a co worker who needed to use it and she did some edits and saved the mxd but now none of the hyperlinks will turn yellow when bringing it to the feature and the display is still turned
