Populating a combobox item with field values

I am trying to make an AddIn that will populate a combo max from field values. I just started working with this SDK this week and can't find a GitHub snippet for this. Anyone know how to return field values from a map layer in ArcGIS Pro to a combo box and select that feature? Thanks for your help.
