I created a survey in Survey123. How do I import data from an existing database to the data from the survey?

When I open my Survey123 data in Arc/GIS online I am unable to add data from existing database(s). Is there a way to import 'old' data into a database generated by a Survey123 survey? I'd like to keep updating a 'master' database which contains old data with newly collected data. Anyhelp? Thoughts?
