Displaying Group Name on Map Legend

Question

I am using ArcMap 10.3.1 and am still baffled that there still doesn't seem to be an option to show a group name in your map legend.  I still only show different ways of showing the Layer Name and/or the heading.  I thought for sure by this version, that would have been added since it's been requested for so long.

Does anyone know something different than I do or have you come up with a work around for this issue if not?

This problem has been fixed in ArcPro 2.3.  I needed to display a legend title entry for a group of layers but only on those pages where at least one of the layers had an element.  Adding the group name worked perfectly.

You can try using the Description on the Symbology tab. This allows an extra entry in the legend, but there is not much layout flexibility.

Agreed, I think I voted for this idea at least a year ago and it is popular
