Data Structures course... Java or C++?

Hi,

I'm a GIS major at The Ohio State University and two of our elective options are data structures using C++ and data structures using java. Which of these two languages would be best to learn? I've taken the intro to programming class with c++ and then I took the second level course with java so I know I'd say I'm at the beginner level to intermediate level with both of them. I'm just wondering which language would be best for preparing me for a job once I graduate?
