It would be great if the web app builder included a find tool to search for features within the map layers. Is anything planned or available that I am missing?

If your map has feature search enabled, the geocoder search box lets you find features within layers. Does anyone know if you can display only the feature searches, and not the locator? It seems to require you to have a least one locator.
