Photo KMZ in ArcGIS explorer

Hi there. I'm having the same issue as the guy here the old forums: http://forums.esri.com/Thread.asp?c=184&f=2207&t=300021&g=1 except i have to use kmz, and the file is local, not a server URL. a basic example is below. I've also attached the kmz to this issue (you'll have to rename its extension to .kmz from .zip). I've tried with/without the CDATA tag, and with the slashes in the img link being '\' and '/', and several other permutations, but i can't get the image to show at all. sorry about that. for some reason while the .zip is well formed and works fine, every time i try to upload it, it gets corrupted. I've attached an image of the file structure instead. Inside the attachments folder is the attachments image with the name 1244741954750.jpg. In the icons folder is the attachments.png file. In arcgis explorer, the icon shows fine, it's just the tag that has a relative pointer to the 1244741954750.jpg that doesn't work. If i unzip the entire thing, make it a file\folder structure, and make the path absolute instead of relative, then it suddenly works. Something about explorer does not like relative paths. I tried looking at your ZIP file, even changing it to .kmz and it is corrupted, so can't look at what you have in your KMZ file.

Looking at your kml document, do you have the folders shown for the img src, and icons? The lines of codes are looking for the file 1244741954750.jpg in the attachments folder, and attachments.png in the icons folder. Both folders need to reside in the same place as your kml code. Also your code is missing before the . I see a couple of other errors in your kml code. I think you need before and I'm not entirely sure, but I think altitude mode wourl go before the heading also. Check the kml code tutorial for more information. There looks like other things missing, but that's what I see so far. Once you get the KML file working, then zip it and the two folders, and rename the .zip to .kmz Hope that helps. Another place to check KML code is on the GE Interactive sampler. You can get to it through the tutorial page. Just do a Google search for KML Code Tutorial to find the page. LOL. i think you may be missing my code above? The tag is clearly there, as well as the tag and everything else that you mention. The code is well formed and works correctly on google earth, just not ARCGIS explorer. I know very well how to create well formed KML.
