Open map zooming to a specific feature

Is there a way to open a map zoomimg to a specific feature in a layer or feature service?

Seems silly that you can't over-ride the automatic scaling when using 'webmap='. Is this possible somehow?

This may help. You can zoom to a particular extent using URL parameters.
