LifeCycleStatus - Changing default values

We are planning to use Data Reviewer for a data verification process but were hoping there is a way to change what is displayed in the LifeCycleStatus field. I understand it is a value assigned by the tool itself but is there any way to just modify the "Review" "Correction" and "Verification" specific values to something else? Our three step process is different and we were hoping to have these better reference where we are in the review process.
