How to view data in an ADF file?

Hi,

I am trying to view data from an ArcGis map that is saved as an ADF file. I have never used ArcGis before, but I do have it installed.

The data is available here: [URL="http://www.nceas.ucsb.edu/globalmarine/impacts"]
It's the third map from the bottom, called "Commercial Activity (Shipping)". I download the raw data and open it in ArcGis, but it only shows me different versions of the map. What I need is the underlying data behind the map (so I need the map in spreadsheet form, basically).

If anyone could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. I am really not familiar with ArcGis at all.

Hola Alex,

The .adf file you have downloaded is actually a raster grid file; this can be directly brought into ArcMap. If you would like to take this file further, you are able to simply right click on it and export it to any format needed. I am including some documentation on this file type, this should assist you further. Gracias, Alex!

Well, they disabled ArcMap 10.2 and now no way to view ADF files.

Why no support in ArcGIS Pro?

Me too, looking to use ADF files in ArcGIS Pro.

Well no, ArcGIS Pro, version 3.2.0 does not import ADF file types from the State of Oregon lidar server. Ironically, the server is powered by ESRI.

Hi Alex,

Juan is right. The data is an Esri GRID raster. Its structure is made up of a folder with the .ADF files. I know that you mentioned that you are looking for tabular data. Unfortunately this is a raster dataset made up of pixels for each of the represented values and does not have a table behind it. It was probably created from a vector dataset that has tabular data.
