Unable to publish a scene with 2 custom elevation surfaces with vectors tied to those

I have a scene that I had published years ago as an ArcScene project to the old cityengine viewer on arcgis online. Now when I import the project into a ArcGIS Pro local scene and try to publish as a web scene i get multiples of this error for each vector feature layer tied to a custom surface elevation. 00236: Layer uses an unsupported elevation setting. Is there a way around this or will this be supported in future releases?
