Using layerView.gl.setPaintProperty() with beta 3

Hi,

I edited the sample on Coolmaps (built using version 1 of the beta) to enable me to programmatically change the style of some features in my vector tile service using the layerView.gl.setPaintProperty() function. I updated my code to the latest beta 3 and it fails with the error "Uncaught TypeError: this.style.setPaintProperty is not a function" in vector-tile.js. Any ideas what might have changed and how I can get this working with the latest beta?
