how to transform a baselayer into a raster for supervised classification

Hello,

I am looking at creating a vegetation layer using easily acquired satellite imagery.  In ArcMap, I can load a Bing Map base layer , but how do I create a raster from that base layer in order to use it to perform a supervised classification.  i.e. how do transform that live base layer into a usable layer?

Thanks Dan,

I was hoping I was just doing something wrong.  I saw the Arc2Earth presentation and wondered if there was something freely available with ArcMap and Bing now working together.
