When I use the Share widget the resulting link does not appear to retain information about which basemap has been selected. It appears that the deafult basemap from the webmap is always displayed when the shared link is loaded. Why is the basemap setting not an option in the Share widget? See mockup below....

Simply put that is just not a current option. You will have to contact esri tech support and file an enhancment request and or add a new idea on the ideas space for this enhancement.
