Export does not work?

I have tried exporting all possible combinations of different files. I need shapes to import to any 3d modeling software. Every time I export, a dialog comes up and I select my options and I hit "finish", I see a progress bar but the dialog box closes before the progress bar hits full and I go to the directory and the file is never there. What is wrong with this software?

Hello Daniella,
Is there any error information in the CityEngine log (Window > Show Log)?

When exporting models there is also a accompanying log file with the same file name written to the directory. It might also contain information.

Also note: When using the Navigator to open the directory please be aware, that a refresh (F5) might be needed to find the newly created files.
