Error When Trying To Collect Data Using Collector

I set up a Collector app to collect utility features. However, when I attempt to capture a GPS point I get the following error:

"Update Failed. Updates could not be sent. Unable to complete operation. Geometry could not be set."

The features I am trying to collect are in a geometric network. Is it possible to collect GPS points in a feature class that uses a geometric network?

Hi John -- Collector can edit features that are in a geometric network, but there are some limitations:

• You need to use ArcGIS Server 10.3.1 or later.
• If you're working offline, you need to use a geodatabase at version 10.2 or later.
• You need to use versioned data for editing.

Also a word of caution: Collector treats all the feature services as simple feature services, and the restrictions of the geometric network are ignored.
