I have two polygon layers. One is an outline of a river and the other is survey areas. I need to find out how to calculate how many feet of the survey boundaries touch or overlap with the boundary of the river. Can someone please tell me which tool would be best to answer this type of question?
The error would be useful... assuming things are in the same coordinate system, there should be one
I have tried using the intersect tool, however, it has returned an error and didn't calculate anything.
Did you try intersecting the 2 returning a polyline as the output type?
