How to use historical traffic data in network analysis

Hi 
Am doing my final year project in network analysis for finding best route.
I have tried to create the daily profiles table and the street_Daily profile but still cannt figure out what some parameters 
represent in the tutorial data for SanFrancisco. Like VAL_DIR, NETWORK_ID.

I would also like to know how to easily and quickly input the EdgeFCID, EdgeFID, EdgefrmPos, EdgeToPos.
