how to store locally tile layer and feature layer in html5

Question

Hi

I am developing a mobile application in HTML5 and ArcGIS java script API(s).I want user to use this application in offline mode,for this I need to store tile layers,feature layers and table data,etc in the HMTL5 local storage.

Please suggest.Sample code is appreciated.

Did you ever get an answer to this?  It seems that I'm having the same issue on my Mac with php proxy.  It seems to work fine on my windows box with asp proxy though.

Hi, I found this sample http://developers.arcgis.com/en/javascript/jssamples/exp_webstorage.html, but I found some problems to download and execute it. The problem is that when the XMLHttpRequest request pass throw my PHP proxy, the encoder generates a corrupted base64 tiles. This question has been asked in a few other threads on this forum, but no good answers have been provided as far as I know.

The problem is that HTML 5's local storage limits the amount of data you can store for a web site, and this limit is too small to store very many map tiles.
