There is actually another thread for this but if a user changes the status from not inspected to inspected say. This comes up and then any of the fields with default values then become null and users have to repopulate them. There really needs to be a way to handle this without having to remove default values as they are essential to other workflows and data quality
The switching of renderer values and having that impact other fields is something the Collector team is currently working on and hopefully will make it into the next update.
