not able to save georeferenced file

Question

Hi

I am not able to save georeferenced file. When I georeferenced the tiff file and rectify and try to save, it just takes forever and still would not save and I have to close arcmap. Any help is appricated.

For a test just have a backup of your image and use 'Update Georeferencing' and observe the behavior.

Hi Riti,

I would try Jake’s suggestion of trying a different output format to see if the result differs. However, just out of curiosity I would also try recalculating the statistics of the TIFF in question and re-building the pyramid layer before Georeferencing.

I am working on tiff. I haven't tried on other formats but it was working on other tiff file until yesterday
