How to get around during Dev Summit

I've never been to a Dev Summit and I've never been to Palm Springs. My hotel is about 5 minutes drive away from the CC, what mode of transportation do you recommend for getting To/From the CC? Driving -- what's parking like? Taxi? Public Transit?

Ken, any recommendations for where to rent the bikes? Do the hotels have them? Do they typically come with locks, etc?

It's very flat in the town. The streets are generally very wide and while there aren't many bike lanes, I've found it pretty easy to get around. Then again, I have a pretty high comfort level with biking on streets. Sidewalks are a good alternative, but they are little more spotty, with gaps on the undeveloped tracts.

Oh, that is good to know. I was wondering if that was an option. How is the biking in Palm Springs? Are there bike lanes,, is it flat, etc? I've never been and the Dev Summit or Palm Springs.

In the past few years, I've rented a bike to go from my hotel to the convention center.
