Geoserver WFS using API for Javascript

I am trying to publish a Geoserver WFS using Javascript API from the same server (localhost) where the webmap is hosted but I am having troubles relatives to Proxy or CORS. Is there a simple way of publishing a WFS as easy as any other service? The map is for intranet use so I don't want to use more servers.
