Build errors in Network Dataset

Question

I am trying to create a network of paths/trails/roads, villages and mine sites. I am creating a service area network analysis based on Pedestrian travel time to mine sites. I have creaded evaluators that have a hierarchy of roads based on type of road and another attribute of Pedestrian Travel time that is a cost attribute based on the length of the road. 
I keep receiving build errors when I try to build the network, the text file of errors lists point locations of mines and villages and says "standalone user-defined junction is detected". What does this mean? 
Is there an attribute for the point files that I am missing?

Hi Joe,

Quick follow up to that - not sure if it's the exact same error you're

running into, but I described some problems on p. 479-480 (p. 497 of the

PDF) that I think might have been what I was trying to fix when I wrote my

initial post, and it looks like I recorded what I ended up having to do

Did you ever find a solution as to why some junctions were created and other were not? I am having a similar issue in a more complicated Network dataset. I have several point feature classes (green-way entrances, bus stops, light rail stops) serving as points of access for my line feature classes (green-way trails, bus routes, and light rail line). Any help or workarounds would be highly appreciated.
