I received LiDAR data as MHT file format and I am struggling to finding information on how to properly import these imaged into ArcMap 10.3. I can open them successfully with internet explorer, but past this I have no idea what to do.

MHT is a web page archive file format.

So, it is really not LiDAR or imagery. You will need to receive the LiDAR data in a supported format such as an LAS file. Below is a list of supported raster formats:
