Pro PerfTools Usage

I have been disappointed with Pro performance and would like to use PerfTools Build 100 on Pro 2.4.2. I have downloaded and installed the AddIn. Would someone be able to provide a quick procedure for testing the performance of a simple geoprocessing tool such as Select Layer By Attribute as it takes about 20 seconds for the dialog box just to open before even selecting the layer from the map and then entering the expression?
