Current and Previous reading for Packet Loss

Hi,

Is there a way to identify packet loss through Geoevent by comparing current and previous readings? The device is currently sending sequence number that increments by 1. I want to be able to compare and see if the current reading is indeed incremented by 1 from the previous reading. Does anyone know how to do this?
