I'm having an issue similar to this question Cannot save login credentials for secured service | GeoNet However, when I use Add item to add the service to my content, it is not being detected as a secure service. Thus, I am still not getting the option to save my credentials with the service. I keep having to re-enter my credentials every time I access the map.

Are your services secured with ArcGIS Server built-in security or web tier? At this time, ArcGIS online does not support web tier authentication.

It looks to be web tier. (The service I'm trying to access isn't hosted by us.) That's a shame.
