Hello,
When I tried for to export an feature class from the geodatabase to a shapefile, it failed and it reports a Fatal Error, Segment Violation?
Any idea what it could be?

A common issue of low-level system errors like that is if the output folder is not writeable for any reason, including invalid or unsupported pathnames or field names.
