Johannes,
Do you have a flexviewers folder in your C:\htdocs folder?
Thanks a lot!
I tried this configuration, but again the web server base folder ist not found or wrong.
The folder on C: exsists and http://localhost returns "It works!" but with http://localhost/flexviewers I get 404 returned
thanks
When setting up Application Builder for Flex you have to specify the "Web Server Base Folder", which in your case using Apache would be "C:\htdocs\flexviewers" most likely. and then your "Web Server Base Folder URL" which would be "http://localhost/flexviewers". Is this what you have?
Hi, I have the same issue, but installed apache. When testing http://localhost firefox returns: "It works!", trying http://localhost/flexviewers --> not found.
I am totaly new to flex and servers. Do I have to create a kind of folder in apache, if yes how do I do this?
Any help or recommendation is welcome!
edit: installed also IIS, in menu of IIS there is the connection localhost\Sites\Default Web Site\flexviewers but in a browser I have no possibity to open it?
Thanks a lot
Johannes
Carlos, The use of App Builder assumes that your system meets the System requirements. http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-viewer/concepts/index.html#/System_requirements/01m30000002t000000/Have you read this and do you have IIS or Apache installed on your PC?
Malcolm, What do you get when you type http://localhost in the address bar of your browser and click enter?
Malcolm, So now that you have IIS installed and have restarted your computer are your issues still there?
Malcolm, So you have gone to "programs and Feature" in control panel (on Win 7) and then "Turn Windows features on or off" and ensured you actually have IIS (Internet Information Services) installed (because it is not installed by default)? This is all part of the getting started documentation:http://resources.arcgis.com/en/help/flex-viewer/concepts/01m3/01m300000021000000.htm
Hi guys,So does that inetpub\wwwroot\flexviewers folder exist?Might want to change the IP address to the name of your machine. Can you post a screenshot of your IIS Manager directory?
Yes, the folder does exist (see screenshot). I tried http://localhost/flexviewers/ , but had no luck. IIS Manager ... ummm, I do not think I have IIS Manager (I looked where it would be for Windows 7). I appreciate your patience, I am a student and this is quite new for me. Any additional suggestions? Thanks!
