Video Clips on Using the Pending List

Hello all!

Does anyone have any recommendations for short documentation (with pictures) or short tutorial videos that go over the process for sending widgets/elements to the Pending List so it can be edited in other views?

I understand how this is supposed to work because I've used it in other EB projects, but I'm struggling with getting this to work reliably every time. At times it seems to work, and then gets really uncooperative (I have to do redo it 5-6 times before it sticks).

I'm assuming I'm using the wrong process, but every piece of documentation I find only has very broad/generalized text without screenshots or I have to dig through a multi-hour training video. A lot of the documentation I've found is just text that says "move this element to the pending list to edit in another view" but doesn't go further than that, which is the part that I'm stuck on. I get as far as moving it to the pending list and that's when I struggle with getting it to edit the correct element. I just need to see someone else add it and then edit it in multiple views (desktop, tablet, smartphone) and then I'm good to go.

If anyone has any recommendations, I'm open to anything! I wish the views just worked like ArcGIS Dashboards (it would be so much easier)

In the event you don't get any other replies that help you out, post the workflow that's causing you trouble.

There are a couple common issues that may or may not be relevant:

• You're trying to change the basic configuration of the widget for one device view and seeing that change in other views because that part of the configuration isn't able to be made separate for different device views (things like background color, outline, etc. you can change no problem; things like the actual text and formatting in a text widget are the same for each device view).
• You've sent something to the pending list that was nested inside another widget that you don't have in other device views, and Experience Builder does not like this sometimes (if so, take everything apart (move stuff around on the canvas so that all affected widgets are separate, nothing's nested inside anything else)), then send the relevant widget to the pending list, and finally you can work with it in other device views (and also put your stuff back together).
