I am getting this error every time one of my users downloads an offline area. At first I thought it was an older map issue. We have maps that we have been using for a little over a year and I thought it may have been a compatibility issue with the new update. But now it happens on new maps I create as well. Every time a user downloads a new offline area this message appears and they are not able to use the offline map they created. I have to select "Update Map" at the right there, then they download a new offline area and it works fine. I cannot figure out what I am doing during the set up that would cause this to begin with. If anyone has any insight please let me know!
Kerri yes and all errors are corrected prior to my users downloading their offline areas. My team works solely off of offline maps because the areas we work in do not have good cell reception for live maps. So before I send a message out to the team regarding a maps availability for use, I check every aspect in Field Maps Designer. There are usually some areas in the offline section that need to be corrected, but I am able to turn offline areas on and everything is good to go before any user downloads an offline area.
Now I have done some testing and I found something else. I have created test maps with the same datasets as our other maps, once I have everything setup and the offline section is good to go I will save everything and log out. I went back and checked 5 minutes later and that error popped up. No offline areas had been downloaded or anything. Its like this error pops up after the fact. I am now stumped on what is causing this.
Have you tried opening the Content section on the Offline tab in Field Maps Designer? Are there any errors/warning showing for any of your layers, tables, or basemaps?
Users are creating their own adhoc offline areas on their devices. And no I have not made any changes to the maps. This happened with a brand new map I just made. I made the map, the user created an offline area, and then the error popped up. They could not collect any data, I had to update the map, they deleted their original offline area and downloaded a new one and it worked fine.
@WGIMaps Are you using preplanned offline areas (areas created in Field Maps Designer or Map Viewer) or are users creating adhoc offline areas on their devices? Also, have you made any changes to the maps (schema changes, symbology, added/removed layers)?
