storm water fittings not keeping connectivity

Question

Hello, I'm working on my city's municipal stormwater data, and am having trouble with fittings keeping connectivity. An example would be when you have a branch of a stormwater line tapped into a larger trunk line, with the lines connected via a fitting point feature. In the past, I could select the fitting and move it, and unless I selected the disconnect feature on the edit tool, all the lines would stay connected. But now, it seems only one line will stay connected. And on top of that, our subnetwork won't trace past the fitting.

Below is a before (when it was working properly) and after pics of our subnetwork (The pink outline). Everything is connected in the first image, but after the most recent run of the Update Subnetwork tool, it would only trace to the first fitting as can be seen in the second pic

I've run into this issue in the past, but it is usually resolvable by disconnecting and reconnecting the lines to the fitting. However, now that doesn't seem to work. Has anyone else ran into this problem before, or know of any possible causes/solutions to this?

@JustinBoehle - Could you try running a connected trace and see if the trace picks all the unhighlighted pipes from the second image. That should confirm connectivity.

UN is Z-aware so if the Z values are different then they are not "connected" even if they are snapped.

Was there anything that was changed in the subnetwork definition like the condition barriers?

Run a subnetwork trace with the aggregated geometry result type to see EXACTLY where the subnetwork stops.

The most likely scenario is that the pipe itself has become a barrier (lifecycle status is the most common cause) or there is a feature on the pipe that is acting as a barrier (lifecycle status, activate volume, or device status are all possible causes). In the case of a device/junction on the line being a barrier the aggregated geometry will show you exactly which junction/device is stopping the trace.
