Hi all,
I'm wondering if anyone else has had this issue. The recent AGOL update has broken the search function in our Zone Lookup Instant Apps. We've had no changes to the app and this morning searching for IDs as usual will no longer bring up the attributes in the results panel or select and zoom to the feature. It still seems to "accept" the searched ID as there is no message saying that feature wasn't found and it does pop up with "clear search location" on the map view. It also is still able to suggest results accurately but selecting those doesn't help. We also have a pop up functionality where a point can be selected on the map to bring up the attributes in a pop up and this is only able to work after multiple clicks on the feature. Thanks for any help anyone is able to provide
Thanks
Is your app public? If so can you share a link? I tested a few apps this morning and am able to search and view the popup content. If its not public can you tell me a bit more about the type of content and how you have the app configured?
Hi, my apologies in only getting to this now, unfortunately the app is a private one. I had a meeting with Esri support though and they were able to recreate the issue. The app is configured as a zone lookup tool with a point layer reading off a web map (which in turn reads off a hosted feature layer). For the Zone Lookup setting under options we have it set to a search type of "features within zone" but then no layers set as the search zone which in the past has allowed us to search on the whole point layer. In the testing we discovered that a search type of "for a zone" works correctly but can only be used to search on polygons, as soon as it's switched to "features within zone" we get the above problems. I hope this helps!
For "features within a zone" does it work if you specify a layer to use as a search zone? In my testing as long as I specify a layer to use as the search zone it will find the layers that are within that search polygon. When the app was originally created it would grab the first polygon layer and use that as the default search zone. But there were some issues with that behavior with some layer types so now its best if you specify which polygon layer should be used as the search zone. I'll keep an eye out for the support issue so we can investigate more thoroughly.
