I made geoprocessing tools via ArcPy and have them in a toolbox inside a Pro project. I want to upload the toolbox to ArcGIS Online so that I can share the tools easier. The only tutorials I've found follow this pipeline (https://support.esri.com/en-us/knowledge-base/how-to-share-an-arcgis-pro-toolbox-000026749). I've tried it, but when I import the toolbox into a new Pro project, the toolbox is empty. Is there another way to upload the tools to AGOL?
Thanks!
Hi @GinaGirgente
Greetings,
I am not sure what do we mean by upload here like do we want to upload the custom tool to ArcGIS Online so that it can be downloaded in a different machine then in that case we can zip the toolbox and add it as an item in ArcGIS Online.
However, if the end goal is to use the custom tools in ArcGIS Online then we we need to publish it to ArcGIS Enterprise as a WebTool and then use it in ArcGIS Online.
Here is a link that you can refer: https://community.esri.com/t5/python-questions/how-to-publish-that-python-toolbox-script-into/td-p/1572079
Hope this helps.
