Position Summary:
The Enterprise Geospatial Systems Analyst (GIS Analyst) provides support for geospatial systems and processes used throughout our corporate and divisional offices on a daily basis. This position is housed in the IT department and reports to the IT PetroTechnical Applications Manager. Primary responsibilities include installation, configuration, maintenance, training, and documentation of commercial, in-house, and custom GIS processes, services, and workflows.
In this role, the Analyst serves as the face of the Enterprise GIS team and is familiar with geospatial data formats and standards, availability and usage of internal datasets, modern web GIS concepts, GIS conventions in the oil and gas industry, relational database concepts and technology, common GIS desktop tools, and general IT practices. The Analyst will be required to adapt and adjust to evolving technology and provide timely technical support to end-users across the company.
