Open layer filter from layer list context menu

wondering if anyone was able to add new item to the context menu of the layer list to open the layer filter for that layer. the normal flow is that you click ellipses next to the layer --> View in attribute table -->options(in attribute table)-->filter . so essentially I would like to skip the attribute table and open the filter directly from the layer
