Gallery beta Instant App Social Buttons Not Working

I'm migrating my public-facing Maps and Apps Gallery configurable app to Gallery beta Instant App and want to enable the social (FB, IG, etc.) sharing buttons, but when I turn them "on," nothing happens, They don't appear in my app landing page or in any of the maps. The Gallery is made from a Group of 36 maps. The maps have a maximum of four layers, but most have only two.

Ahh, yes, I got ahead of myself. We've addressed this as a bug but it will not release until the end of this month in the next ArcGIS Online release (February 2026). At that time, the "Text" setting will update the color of the Share tool and any other tool that is enabled in the header of the app, and both light and dark modes will correctly display for it.

Hi Lois,

The social sharing options are included in the Share tool's menu in Gallery. And you can update the color of the Share tool icon to make it more visible using the "Text" color option in the "Colors and contrast ratio" setting of the config under Gallery theme & layout.

It looks like only the header text changes to white and not the share
button. I had to select Dark mode to get the white button to show. Not my
preference, but at least it works. Hope you can fix this so it works in
Light mode.

Hi Matt,
Originally I thought this was just a problem with Instant Apps, but now I
see it has happened with our older apps as well. Our organization name and
AGOL url are no longer the default in search returns. All of our apps are
public-facing, so this is a really important issue for us. These search
returns make it look like our apps are Esri products.
