AGOL credit increase? February 2026

Did I miss an announcement about a credit usage increase? I noticed in my ArcGIS Online organization that my credits mysteriously increased by about 10 percent per day, starting February 1, 2026. I did not see any documentation or notice on this but after a little bit of digging, it looks like AWS increased their cost of storage. Is that related? Is my credit use increase expected? (I looked very carefully at my org's usage and there was no change that would merit this increase). Thanks.

I myself had the same question a couple of years ago. The answer is no, there has been no change. Storage is charged with credits at a cost of 2.4 credits per 10 MB stored per month, calculated hourly. Since credits are charged monthly, you can think of them as a monthly rent, where the cost per hour is higher when we are in a month with fewer days (February). This is most likely what explains why your credit consumption has increased.
