URL parameter grey out

Hi Team,

Recently, we have configured and federated the ArcGIS Data Pipeline (Beta version). While working with the Input section, we are facing an issue accessing the “URL” parameter.

The URL input option appears to be disabled (greyed out). When hovering over the option, the following message is displayed:

“Load records returned from a URL or REST API. There are no allowed URLs configured. Contact your administrator to update the system properties.”

 

Another Observation is it is currently not providing the option to connect to Microsoft Azure.

For security purposes, ArcGIS Data Pipelines in ArcGIS Enterprise does not allow connections to arbitrary URL hosts. Instead, administrators manage which hosts are permitted when using the URL input option in Data Pipelines. Although it’s technically possible to configure the application to accept any host using a wildcard (.*), Esri recommends specifying a defined list of allowed hosts.

This behavior is noted in the Enterprise documentation for URL inputs, which also links to instructions for administrators on how to configure the allowedHosts system property.

Regarding your second observation, in ArcGIS Enterprise 12.0, you will need to create the Azure Storage data store item outside of Data Pipelines, specifically from the Content page. Once created, it will be available for selection within the app. This workflow is outlined in the Use Microsoft Azure Storage records Enterprise documentation.
