Searching and Zooming to Related Records

Hello,

I am currently working on searching related records in Experience Builder.  Using the Search Widget I was able to configure that when a roll number is searched (in the related table) the cadastral fabric pop-up appears. Now what I am trying to do is when a roll number is searched the related pop-up not only appears but it zooms to the selected property. I have the zoom to action on, but I feel like I am missing a step. If anyone has any tips or tricks that would be amazing.

@Jianxia is there any chance this type of functionality could be pushed for in Experience Builder? We very often have related tables with no geometry that we need to search and relate back to a parcel of land etc.

Whilst this work around exists, it increases the management overhead for us and would be great if we could have it natively built into the system!

A table doesn’t contain spatial information, so you can’t zoom to it directly. When I need to search using data from a related table and zoom to a location, I create a joined view layer that includes spatial data. I use that view layer as the trigger for the search, and configure the actions so that my main spatial layer (which contains the related table) is the target.

In Experience Builder, I used the Framework → Filter data records action, setting the joined view layer as the trigger and the main spatial layer as the action. Then I added a Map → Zoom to action for the same, and it works as expected.

Within the map widget ensure Show pop-up upon feature selection is shown so when the filtering action works it is showing the pop up of my spatial layer but zooming to my joined view layer.
