Tabulate area, failing.

Question

I'm trying to find the area of a landcover data set inside a 1 mile buffer of nesting sites.

I have the nest sites inputted, a 1 mile buffer created and the layer of the landcover data. When I run tabulate area, it fails but doesn't give me a reason for the failure.

Is there something obvious I need to look into?

what parameters did you use?

coordinate systems?

did you try using both inputs as rasters with the same cell size, extent and alignment?

output data location? were the inputs and the output into a locally stored geodatabase table?

There are some usual messages but you said there were none, but examine the causes
